Midnight Music

As a reader and music lover, I tend to read and listen to music whenever I have some free time. So what better way than to combine these two passions! When starting a book, I choose a song to accompany on my journey. This song is usually a current favorite at the time or a song I feel will suit the book I'm about to start. So I pick the song to match the book, press that replay button and start listening to that same song over and over again. The reason behind this for me is that later, when I've finished the book, and I listen to the song again, it will remind me of the story I read along with it. The song will take me back to that story, its world and its characters. An odd feeling of nostalgia will fill me and with one simple note, the song will take me back into that story all over again like I never left.
